 Collector Testimonials:

"Lauren's painting of my daughter and I walking together on the beach was a stunning, unexpected, and priceless anniversary gift that I will cherish forever and hopefully my daughter will too. Lauren did an incredible job of turning a meaningful photograph into an extraordinary piece that moves me every time I look at it."
-Andy M.

“We have traveled a lot as a family and always go to see any impressionist galleries or shows in the area, as they are our favorite. We have been waiting a long time to find the right artist to commission artwork that reminds us of that style, and we finally found it!” - Cassie W.

“I just can’t get over it. It's so beautiful. I love the colors, how vibrant it is. It very much captures my son and I. I want to have more made; they are beautiful, timeless, and classic.” - Chelsea M.

 Reference Photo Tips:

  • Paintings of your loved ones dancing, walking away from the camera, from the side as they play, all create a timeless scene that is my passion to create.
  • Take photos in strong natural light (as opposed to not in total shadow or overcast lighting nor under artificial light)
  • We want to capture childhood joy without asking anyone to look at the camera and faking a cheesy smile.
  • Try photos of your person doing "their thing." What's their passion? Playing piano, climbing trees, drawing, fishing, singing, hanging at the beach, reading?
  • Take lots of photos so we have options! Try getting down on your kids level.

Ready to Talk Framing?

Option 1:
I ship it to you wired and ready to hang, and you handle all framing on your end. No additional cost to the commission. This is great for collector's who want to see the piece in person first, or who have an interior designer who is handling the framing. No additional cost to commission price.

Option 2:
I ship the canvas to you unframed, and help you find a professional framer in your area to frame it. Great choice if you want to see the painting in person yourself or in your home first. Estimated cost $350-$1,000.00

Option 3:
I can frame it myself for your in a wooden floating frame. Color options are white, brown, or gold. "Floating" is a special frame that showcases the artwork as original as you can see the sides of the canvas. It's a timeless style that fits with any painting or home design. Estimated Cost $300-$700

Option 4:
I take the painting after it's completed to Blue Door Picture Framing in Sarasota - a great choice if you want a more specialized or ornate frame. I will send you photos of 5-10 frame options beside the painting and together we will choose the perfect one. Estimated cost $450-$1,000

Find Your Frame Style:
The style of your home and the painting itself is what affects the frame style I recommend. For example:

  • The southern homes have a lot of wooden antiques with pops of bright color and gold accents means they can do a thicker ornate frame, as well as gold frames.
  • If you have a palm beach vibe it can be so fun to do something whimsical like a gold bamboo frame!
  • The light and bright airy vacation beach houses often do fun tropical colored frames, driftwood style frames, gold frames, and the classic white wood.
  • Homes in the northeast usually do a classic style, like the floating frames or the pleine aire style frames.
  • Homes that are for the under 50 crowd and are more classic (think pottery barn, etc) - I suggest the classic wooden floating frames.

However, no matter the home style or location, you can’t go wrong with the floating wooden frames - available in these colors seen here, as well as gold.

One spoonbill painting, framed four ways to show what a difference a frame makes; white floating frame, gold pleine aire, gold bamboo, and gold floating frame are shown.

The beautiful blue wooden floating frame below is an example of one only a professional framer would have; it's just perfect for this specific painting, and for the Key West home it was created for. Once the painting was done, I took it to the framer, sent the collector my top 6 recommendations of frames via photo texts, and we picked this one. In the photo it’s plastic wrapped for shipping protection already, but you can still see the beautiful frame.

There is no rush to make a frame choice, so focus on the painting itself first, and the framing choice will make itself clear later. Whatever frame you choose, as long as you love it - that's most important.
