Salt and Glory

This collection holds deep personal meaning for me. I come from a long line of military families— with a family member serving in every war since the American Revolution. Alongside that, my family has generations of public servants, farmers, and first responders who have dedicated their lives to making this country and the world a better place. I still have immediate family serving in Washington, DC today.

The Fourth of July has been my favorite holiday since childhood, shaped by our family’s traditions and values of service, patriotism, and love for this land. This series is the result of years of work—collecting reference photos and inspiration during frequent visits to DC. It blends coastal touches, pioneer spirit, apple pie nostalgia, cherry picking, home runs, picnics, and celebrations under the sun and salt air—all wrapped in red, white, and blue.

I was honored to work with the Freedom 250 organization as they celebrate our nation’s Semiquincentennial and to serve as a judge for their nationwide art contest, using my expertise as an artist and in American history in this special way. 

Each painting is signed with a special 250 Signature, includes the official hard copy of the America 250 Constitution book, and a commemorative 250 artist statement card to honor this milestone event.
