A flock of roseate spoonbills relaxing amongst mangrove trees, their reflections in the emerald water steals the show. Roseate Spoonbills, once hunted to near extinction for their bright feathers for hats, are slowly making a comeback to the southern coasts. This painting was accepted into the Conversation Foundation of the Gulf Coast Art Show, and won a purple ribbon.
